November 17, 2022 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER V

mmmm.. ig it's been another week? idk this one's gone by super fast, it feels like my last Pday was just a couple days ago, buttt idk, i don't think much really happened this week let's seeeee.. I'm stiLl sick somehow, my mom thinks i have bronchitis, whatever that is, but i went to the doctor again last week and they gave me some of the nastiest tasting cough syrup probably ever invented, and that actually made it a whole lot worse for a little bit.. there was one night where i was up the whole time coughing and didn't get any sleep, and the next day was a bit rough, and then whenever i would run a lot i would just loose all ability to breathe, and there were a couple times where i coughed until dry heaving, butttt nothing came up.. eventually i ran out of the rubbing alcohol they tried to pass off as medicine, so we went back to the doctor, and he fiNally decided to give me some antibiotics.. i'm not cured yet, but hopefully it comes fast, cuz i leave for the DR in 3 days now i'm super excited to get out into the field and start failing at speaking the language, it's gonna be so much fun! it's crazy how much my perspective has been able to change, because i'm totally ok with being sick, i'm ok with failing, because i know thru God i'm not going to have any problems that i can't take with a smile (unless i end up getting mugged and i have to fight off 30 guys with machetes all at once to save a village and one of them gets lucky and breaks my jaw or teeth or something before i can cut off all of their arms Ammon style) then in that case ig it MIGHT be a little difficult to smile if i have a broken jaw, but in that case i'd still be smiling on the inside what elsssse happened this week.. idkkk, we got to go to the temple again today, and don't get my wrong, i felt the spirit there fs, but we had to get up at 6 to go, which might not sound very early, but with all the random sounds of Mexico City, and the other guys in our house walking around making noise at unholy hours, every last minute of sleep counts.. so anyways we were doing endowments, and it's all in spanish ofc, and i'm not exActly fluent at this point, so i don't always know what's going on.. aNyyyways, it's safe to say i drifted off a couple of times, and one of the times i ended up waking up to a mask full (you still have to wear masks in the temple here) of saliva, which is an awful way to wake up, buttt my comp thought that was pretty funny wellll my next email will be from the DR.. hOpefully, there have been some people who end up not being able to leave on time for various reasons, so hopefully i don't turn out to have had covid this whole time or something sorry for the boring email this week, next week i'll have some better stories fs, wish me luck, and have a great week, love you guys John 14:26-27 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. vroooom vroom.. *there's an amazon store in my area now.. which means i can go in there and order things from amazon, and it will ship to the store.. it costs a little extra and everything, but my shoes are a bit holy.. so i got some new ones.. we'll see when they actually decide to show up *also on monday, i saw on somebody's story from san cristobal, that there had been some kind of huge explosion.. a ton of people hurt.. killed.. it took out 3 buildings completely.. and damaged a ton of other buildings too.. *so that was super random.. i had lived in cambita before, which is technically part of san cristobal.. it's about 20 min away, but i've been to san cristobal many times before, since i lived over there for 6 months *but anyways, one of the other nights, we were teaching this lady, and going over the plan of salvation, or the plan of heavenly father (it's now called) and we asked her why she thinks we are here on the earth.. and she kinda jokingl...

October 2, 2023 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER L

thank goodness to elder helquist here who could confirm that L was the correct number... *welll.. it's been an interesting week for sure *we've stayed at home about half of the days because of sickness *but for the first time in my mission, it's not me who's sick *my comp has some kind of ameba parasite *i won't go into the details of what that actually means (cuz i have no idea) but the symptoms are pretty weird *but we weren't really sure what was going on for a while, and we had to go to the hospital like 3 or 4 times to get all of the tests and everything done for them to be sure *but he's been doing better for the last couple days, and he got a tonnn of medicine *he has two types of pills.. one he has to take every 12 hours for 7 days.. the other he has to take once every day for the next month *and then the last one is a kind of little liquid stuff that he says doesn't really have much flavor, it's just kinda oily *anyways tho, h...

July 15, 2024 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER LXXXXI

weeee had transfers.. said goodbye to canada boy, and i have received a new comp.. we got a call on tuesday before transfers, and pres told me i was gonna be training again.. i thought it would be a gringo, cuz usually there are more gringos that come in at this time of year than latinos.. buttt at these transfers there was only one gringo elder that came in.. sooo i got elder Ibargüen.. he's from panama, so he speaks spanish, and he was studying english before the mission so he knows a little.. annnd he was called to speak haitian creole.. which is a littttle awkward not gonna lie, cuz i definitely don't be speaking such language.. cuzzz i wanted to focus on mastering spanish (which i am still far from).. and the other thing, is that there aren't any haitain speaking wards or even branches in our mission.. annnd because of that, there are no sacrament meetings in haitain.. sooo i haven't put any emphasis in teaching in creole, because they n...
