November 3, 2022 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER III

what's up? it's been a bit, since we didn't get a Pday last week buttt mexico is interesting.. first of all, i've been sick since the day i got on the plane, so that's been super fun, everyone just knows me as the sick elder, and it's pretty weird to have everyone ask me if i'm feeling better and then i just have to be like "uhhh not really".. the good thing about it tho, is since i've been sick for so long i'm actually used to it now, like being sick is just part of who i am now it's a cool place tho, we are doing things constantly, and our days are planned out basically to the minute.. at night there are fireworks, gunshots, terror shrieks, concerts.. basically everything you could think of to make it difficult to sleep, it's fine tho, it just makes it hard to get up other than that tho, the food is.. umm.. welllll.. idk if you can really call it food or not.. one of the people in my district said "there are two types of people at the CCM, those who hate the food, and liars" anyways we got to go to the temple today, and it was all in spanish but it was really cool i think that's pretty much it tho, spanish is coming along ig you could say, there have been some really cool spiritual moments fs, like there was one devotional where we watched an elder bednar talk, and it was absolutely the best i've ever heard oHhh also, at the beginning of the week our district leader told us that we would be getting to watch coco for los días de muertos, so we were all super excited for that, and then when we got in the place, they announced we were watching coco, everyone cheered, and thennnn.. they showed us the trailer and invited us to watch the full movie once we got home.. so now we all have sErious trust issues, and the line for the therapy office is sUper long now luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible don't give up on it, whatever it is.. it's not impossible thru god! i've come to know that in my life over and over -Elder Williamson

vroooom vroom.. *there's an amazon store in my area now.. which means i can go in there and order things from amazon, and it will ship to the store.. it costs a little extra and everything, but my shoes are a bit holy.. so i got some new ones.. we'll see when they actually decide to show up *also on monday, i saw on somebody's story from san cristobal, that there had been some kind of huge explosion.. a ton of people hurt.. killed.. it took out 3 buildings completely.. and damaged a ton of other buildings too.. *so that was super random.. i had lived in cambita before, which is technically part of san cristobal.. it's about 20 min away, but i've been to san cristobal many times before, since i lived over there for 6 months *but anyways, one of the other nights, we were teaching this lady, and going over the plan of salvation, or the plan of heavenly father (it's now called) and we asked her why she thinks we are here on the earth.. and she kinda jokingl...

October 2, 2023 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER L

thank goodness to elder helquist here who could confirm that L was the correct number... *welll.. it's been an interesting week for sure *we've stayed at home about half of the days because of sickness *but for the first time in my mission, it's not me who's sick *my comp has some kind of ameba parasite *i won't go into the details of what that actually means (cuz i have no idea) but the symptoms are pretty weird *but we weren't really sure what was going on for a while, and we had to go to the hospital like 3 or 4 times to get all of the tests and everything done for them to be sure *but he's been doing better for the last couple days, and he got a tonnn of medicine *he has two types of pills.. one he has to take every 12 hours for 7 days.. the other he has to take once every day for the next month *and then the last one is a kind of little liquid stuff that he says doesn't really have much flavor, it's just kinda oily *anyways tho, h...

July 15, 2024 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER LXXXXI

weeee had transfers.. said goodbye to canada boy, and i have received a new comp.. we got a call on tuesday before transfers, and pres told me i was gonna be training again.. i thought it would be a gringo, cuz usually there are more gringos that come in at this time of year than latinos.. buttt at these transfers there was only one gringo elder that came in.. sooo i got elder Ibargüen.. he's from panama, so he speaks spanish, and he was studying english before the mission so he knows a little.. annnd he was called to speak haitian creole.. which is a littttle awkward not gonna lie, cuz i definitely don't be speaking such language.. cuzzz i wanted to focus on mastering spanish (which i am still far from).. and the other thing, is that there aren't any haitain speaking wards or even branches in our mission.. annnd because of that, there are no sacrament meetings in haitain.. sooo i haven't put any emphasis in teaching in creole, because they n...
