August 21, 2023 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER XXXXIV

vroooom vroom.. *there's an amazon store in my area now.. which means i can go in there and order things from amazon, and it will ship to the store.. it costs a little extra and everything, but my shoes are a bit holy.. so i got some new ones.. we'll see when they actually decide to show up *also on monday, i saw on somebody's story from san cristobal, that there had been some kind of huge explosion.. a ton of people hurt.. killed.. it took out 3 buildings completely.. and damaged a ton of other buildings too.. *so that was super random.. i had lived in cambita before, which is technically part of san cristobal.. it's about 20 min away, but i've been to san cristobal many times before, since i lived over there for 6 months *but anyways, one of the other nights, we were teaching this lady, and going over the plan of salvation, or the plan of heavenly father (it's now called) and we asked her why she thinks we are here on the earth.. and she kinda jokingly responded saying "are we here to save lives? i wanna save lives".. and my comp kinda blew it off really quick and moved on with whatever he was trying to say, but i kinda thought about that for a second.. because we know our purpose on this earth isn't to save mortal human lives.. while that is very important, and we should still obviously be doing that, that's definitely not the only reason we are here.. john 3:16 says... "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."... jesus christ came to this earth to save our lives.. but not our mortal lives.. while he still did do that a couple times (raising lazarus from the dead, and a couple other people too.. healing people of chronic diseases and handicaps).. but that's still not whY he came.. he came to save our lives ETERNALY.. so sometimes people die.. and we can't save everyone.. no matter how hard we try, there will still be accidents, and there will still be disasters, and there will still be people that use their agency to end the lives of others.. but we know that thaT is not the end.. jesus christ died for us.. he could have stopped that at any time.. but he chose to die.. to give up his mortal life, to save the eternal lives of all man kind.. eVeRyOnE... so yah.. i think mabe that iS why we are here.. to save lives.. not to earn exaltation and eternal life.. but to Learn it.. and to help others to learn it as well.. to apply it in our lives, so that we actually have a purpose here... *we had a zone council i think that's pretty much it tho.. have a great week, love you guys! moroni 10:33 And again, if ye by the grace of God are perfect in Christ, and deny not his power, then are ye sanctified in Christ by the grace of God, through the shedding of the blood of Christ, which is in the covenant of the Father unto the remission of your sins, that ye become holy, without spot.
