September 11, 2023 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER XXXXVII

haha.. uhh.. that was weird.. *had a pretty regular week i think *but we're starting to get things moving a bit more with finding, and getting members out visiting with us *we had interveiws with president.. that whole experience was.. something i had never seen before *the interview was totally normal *butttt everything surrounding it wasss.. ig you would say chaotic? but it kept everything interesting at least *that definitely ate up the majority of the day tho, which wasn't great, cuz we had a lotta good stuff planned.. that's ok tho *i'm also ilegal in the country now.. soooo *basically how it works.. first you need a visa to travel to the DR, once you get here, you have to go sign some papers and take some blood tests and stuff to get a residency card, saying you can live here for a year (after a year you have to go back and renew it) *so normaly a visa lasts 6 months i think? but for some reason mine was set to last for a year.. usually after being in the country for 3 or 4 months or so, you go to the capital, and sign those papers and stuff to get your residency card *sooo when that time came for me, and i saw other people from my group going to do it, it was a little weird, cuz i still hadn't heard anything about it.. so we asked the senior missionary who was in charge of it at the time *she just told us she hadn't heard anything, and so we just waited.. that was like.. a while ago *so anyways, fast forward to about a month ago, when i am looking at my visa, and realize it's about to expire, on the 6th of september *so i texted who is now in charge of those things, and he said he would talk to the mission lawyer about it.. annnd nothing happened in between then and now.. sooo.. my visa is expired.. and i live in a country where i don't legally reside.. aWkWaRd!?! *i've also been fighting another ingrown toenail, but this one got infected (yah, i'm sure you all were wanting to hear this) so it's taking a little longer to heal, and kids keep calling me a zombie, cuz i was walking with a pretty bad limp for like.. dang.. ig it's been over a week now *it's getting better now tho.. i hope.. i've poured a lot of disinfectant solution stuff on it.. buttt.. basically.. owww that's all i've got i think.. have a great week.. love you guys! mark 1:17-18 And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. October 2, 2023 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER L

thank goodness to elder helquist here who could confirm that L was the correct number... *welll.. it's been an interesting week for sure *we've stayed at home about half of the days because of sickness *but for the first time in my mission, it's not me who's sick *my comp has some kind of ameba parasite *i won't go into the details of what that actually means (cuz i have no idea) but the symptoms are pretty weird *but we weren't really sure what was going on for a while, and we had to go to the hospital like 3 or 4 times to get all of the tests and everything done for them to be sure *but he's been doing better for the last couple days, and he got a tonnn of medicine *he has two types of pills.. one he has to take every 12 hours for 7 days.. the other he has to take once every day for the next month *and then the last one is a kind of little liquid stuff that he says doesn't really have much flavor, it's just kinda oily *anyways tho, h...

July 15, 2024 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER LXXXXI

weeee had transfers.. said goodbye to canada boy, and i have received a new comp.. we got a call on tuesday before transfers, and pres told me i was gonna be training again.. i thought it would be a gringo, cuz usually there are more gringos that come in at this time of year than latinos.. buttt at these transfers there was only one gringo elder that came in.. sooo i got elder Ibargüen.. he's from panama, so he speaks spanish, and he was studying english before the mission so he knows a little.. annnd he was called to speak haitian creole.. which is a littttle awkward not gonna lie, cuz i definitely don't be speaking such language.. cuzzz i wanted to focus on mastering spanish (which i am still far from).. and the other thing, is that there aren't any haitain speaking wards or even branches in our mission.. annnd because of that, there are no sacrament meetings in haitain.. sooo i haven't put any emphasis in teaching in creole, because they n...
