April 3, 2023 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER XXIV

hey 👋 .. it's already saturday morning and i haven't started my email (usually i write it slowly throughout the week) *saw another snake, this one was promptly stoned by various teenagers *we started a jumping wall in our house (we high jump and stick a card on the wall) mine is the lowest of those who have participated, but it's getting higher *i mayyy have gotten super bad at doing laundry last week with going to the hospital and stuff, which lead to me mayyyybe wearing the same pair of pants like 9 days in a row *i found out that the power actually just goes out cuz the power company (for some reason there's only like one in the whole country (ig monopolies are allowed here)) decides they wanna turn it off.. so they do *we're gonna have conference, and it's gonna be insAne, cuz we're gonna go all around for every session and make sure everyone possible is watching it *my comp and i are dodging the ward drama like keanu reeves dodging all those bullets in the matrix *ok ok, idk how these emails are sounding, like maybe boring, or maybe super chaotic and random, orrr idk.. but the mission is sOo fun man! and when it isn't, it's even better, because you can chAnge that any time you want.. you choose how much you get out of it (same with everything in life (uhhh i think, i haven't really been here that long (in life i mean (or in the mission buttt)))) *one thing we've been doing with a couple of our friends, is having them write down questions that they want to be answered in conference, and the coolest thing, is that we already know that if they are listening and searching with real intent, they're fr gonna get their answers.. because we have aCtual prOphets of gOd.. that's so sick!!! *the first session of conference was a bunch of technical difficulties, and then me playing cards with a bunch of kids so they wouldn't run around and make a ruckus (we were doing it in the church with a projector and stuff) *but the conference was super good anyways, hope you guys had the chance to watch conference, if not, it's always on the gospel library and such.. love you guys! ether 4:12 And whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do good is of me; for good cometh of none save it be of me. vroooom vroom.. *there's an amazon store in my area now.. which means i can go in there and order things from amazon, and it will ship to the store.. it costs a little extra and everything, but my shoes are a bit holy.. so i got some new ones.. we'll see when they actually decide to show up *also on monday, i saw on somebody's story from san cristobal, that there had been some kind of huge explosion.. a ton of people hurt.. killed.. it took out 3 buildings completely.. and damaged a ton of other buildings too.. *so that was super random.. i had lived in cambita before, which is technically part of san cristobal.. it's about 20 min away, but i've been to san cristobal many times before, since i lived over there for 6 months *but anyways, one of the other nights, we were teaching this lady, and going over the plan of salvation, or the plan of heavenly father (it's now called) and we asked her why she thinks we are here on the earth.. and she kinda jokingl...

October 2, 2023 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER L

thank goodness to elder helquist here who could confirm that L was the correct number... *welll.. it's been an interesting week for sure *we've stayed at home about half of the days because of sickness *but for the first time in my mission, it's not me who's sick *my comp has some kind of ameba parasite *i won't go into the details of what that actually means (cuz i have no idea) but the symptoms are pretty weird *but we weren't really sure what was going on for a while, and we had to go to the hospital like 3 or 4 times to get all of the tests and everything done for them to be sure *but he's been doing better for the last couple days, and he got a tonnn of medicine *he has two types of pills.. one he has to take every 12 hours for 7 days.. the other he has to take once every day for the next month *and then the last one is a kind of little liquid stuff that he says doesn't really have much flavor, it's just kinda oily *anyways tho, h...

July 15, 2024 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER LXXXXI

weeee had transfers.. said goodbye to canada boy, and i have received a new comp.. we got a call on tuesday before transfers, and pres told me i was gonna be training again.. i thought it would be a gringo, cuz usually there are more gringos that come in at this time of year than latinos.. buttt at these transfers there was only one gringo elder that came in.. sooo i got elder Ibargüen.. he's from panama, so he speaks spanish, and he was studying english before the mission so he knows a little.. annnd he was called to speak haitian creole.. which is a littttle awkward not gonna lie, cuz i definitely don't be speaking such language.. cuzzz i wanted to focus on mastering spanish (which i am still far from).. and the other thing, is that there aren't any haitain speaking wards or even branches in our mission.. annnd because of that, there are no sacrament meetings in haitain.. sooo i haven't put any emphasis in teaching in creole, because they n...
