November 6, 2023 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER LV

happiness=gratefulness.. you can't be more happy than you are grateful.. it's an interesting concept that the more we focus on the good the more good there is to see.. lately i've become kinda bitter.. like not too bad or anything, but i realized that i get annoyed at people easier.. i have less hope.. i'm more tired... so as i was walking in the street tonight i realized that... sooo i was thinking about whY that is.. why am i less happy right now than i have been at other times of the mission.. and i realized that it was because of the situation.. and thEn i remembered that the situation shouldn't matter.. i can either just let myself be affected by my surroundings, or i can do my best to change them.. and even when i can't, i can still focus on what iS good... i have been letting the situation and the things that are going on around me affect me too much.. and they've begun to block my view of the things that really should matter.. sOoo i want to be better about that.. i want to be more grateful for the things i have.. and i need to stop comparing.. because comparisons only lead to disappointment, and are unfair anyways.. maybe this branch isn't as good as others that i have seen.. but so what? i'm here on purpose.. i was put here for sOme reason.. and so we're yOu... 🫵 *we made some makeshift ping pong for pdays *my comps body still can't decide if it's sick or not *elder helquist had his birthday, so we bought him a giant thing of ice cream *we heard some stories about poison and some about ducks and stuff *we walked so far one time we made it to a place that looked like utah desert *i still somehow don't know any of the 5 songs that blast on repeat across the street *i thought i might go try to fix some of my toenails (like ingrown but not that bad, i just have to keep on destroying them).. but elder oyervides sent me a pic of what they did to him.. there were like 5 stitches.. some were thru the nail.. sooo definitely not gonna be participating in thAttt anyways, love you guys have a great week! doctrine and covenants 59:23 But learn that he who doeth the works of righteousness shall receive his reward, even peace in this world, and eternal life in the world to come.

vroooom vroom.. *there's an amazon store in my area now.. which means i can go in there and order things from amazon, and it will ship to the store.. it costs a little extra and everything, but my shoes are a bit holy.. so i got some new ones.. we'll see when they actually decide to show up *also on monday, i saw on somebody's story from san cristobal, that there had been some kind of huge explosion.. a ton of people hurt.. killed.. it took out 3 buildings completely.. and damaged a ton of other buildings too.. *so that was super random.. i had lived in cambita before, which is technically part of san cristobal.. it's about 20 min away, but i've been to san cristobal many times before, since i lived over there for 6 months *but anyways, one of the other nights, we were teaching this lady, and going over the plan of salvation, or the plan of heavenly father (it's now called) and we asked her why she thinks we are here on the earth.. and she kinda jokingl...

October 2, 2023 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER L

thank goodness to elder helquist here who could confirm that L was the correct number... *welll.. it's been an interesting week for sure *we've stayed at home about half of the days because of sickness *but for the first time in my mission, it's not me who's sick *my comp has some kind of ameba parasite *i won't go into the details of what that actually means (cuz i have no idea) but the symptoms are pretty weird *but we weren't really sure what was going on for a while, and we had to go to the hospital like 3 or 4 times to get all of the tests and everything done for them to be sure *but he's been doing better for the last couple days, and he got a tonnn of medicine *he has two types of pills.. one he has to take every 12 hours for 7 days.. the other he has to take once every day for the next month *and then the last one is a kind of little liquid stuff that he says doesn't really have much flavor, it's just kinda oily *anyways tho, h...

July 15, 2024 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER LXXXXI

weeee had transfers.. said goodbye to canada boy, and i have received a new comp.. we got a call on tuesday before transfers, and pres told me i was gonna be training again.. i thought it would be a gringo, cuz usually there are more gringos that come in at this time of year than latinos.. buttt at these transfers there was only one gringo elder that came in.. sooo i got elder Ibargüen.. he's from panama, so he speaks spanish, and he was studying english before the mission so he knows a little.. annnd he was called to speak haitian creole.. which is a littttle awkward not gonna lie, cuz i definitely don't be speaking such language.. cuzzz i wanted to focus on mastering spanish (which i am still far from).. and the other thing, is that there aren't any haitain speaking wards or even branches in our mission.. annnd because of that, there are no sacrament meetings in haitain.. sooo i haven't put any emphasis in teaching in creole, because they n...
