January 29, 2024 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER LXVII

i eat a lotta ice cream.. but i don't drink that much water.. this week i almost died of dehydration.. sorta.. the thing is tho, is no one wanted to give us water.. like we kept trying to buy those blue 5 gallon jug thingies, but no one was bringing them.. so we were just dying mostly, and i was drinking a little bit of the filter water, but it tastes sooo bad, and it apparently gives parasites.. buttt we got water eventually.. everyone had transfers besides us obviously i'm kinda giving up on the format of this email it's just all chaotic now.. cuzzz i'm kinda bored, and idek what to put in here.. we've been doing a lot of finding this week, but it's not yealding as many results as it should be for the amount of time we're putting in.. so we're changing up the way we do it also working on getting more members in lessons, cuz that's kinda an issue rn.. but yah we have a big thing of ice cream again.. it's almost gone tbh, buttttt we hAd one sometimes there are really difficult times in the mission, like having bad comps, or hard areas, or all sorts of things.. butttt you always have to find reasons to keep going.. people always say you have to find a reason to go on a mission, but you also need a reason to stAy on the mission.. for a lot of people those two reasons have to be different.. and a lot of people sometimes forget that reason to stay.. or they get it all mixed up they become dead missionaries soooooo i'm trying not to do that, instead focusing on staying lost in the work.. but sometimes i have to refocus myself.. and that's kinda what this week has been.. just working on not getting distracted from my purpose here.. following the schedule as well as i can.. working out for 30 minutes.. being ready to plan the day, and then studying for the whole time.. going out and working hard, and not being discouraged when no one wants to listen.. but.. you just have to keep going.. preach my gospel says, "Your success as a missionary is determined primarily by your desire and commitment to find, teach, baptize, and confirm converts and to help them become faithful disciples of Christ and members of His Church".. but i think it says primarily, because your success is also determined on what you dO with that desire.. you can desiRe to teach the gospel to everyone in the town and baptize nations.. but if you don't actually get out of bed and go do it, it doesn't matter.. sooo that's what we do, we get out of bed and we go work.. even when the shower is freezing cold and all you have to eat is rice and ice cream and for some reason multiple jars of knockoff nesquick.. and you still don't really speak the language.. and your tie can almost stand up on its own because of how soaked with snot it is because you for some reason have gripe like all the time.. and a billion other things that might make it a little uncomfy.. because when we do that, we see miracles.. that's pretty much all i got tho.. have great week, love you guys! alma 26:27 Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success.
