December 25, 2023 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER LXII

this.. has been a very weird week.. *monday we hung out at the church and played games with some members *tuesday we had a mediumly preductive day kinda *wednesday we spent like 3 hours paining a recent converts house *and then my comp was tired, so we went home and he slept for a while *then we went to the church for "mutual" but no one showed up.. so my comp thought he would make good use of the time and switch up some of his roblox skins on the computer, and chat with his old buddies on discord *then we went home and ordered some sandwiches *my sandwich was pretty good *but ig my comps was poisoned, cuz he woke up pretty sick *we only left that day to eat our lunch from the lady who makes us our food *sooo i spent the whole day contacting the entire caribbean area, and trying to set up lessons *then the next day we had district council, but our ZLs wanted the zone to get to know each other a little, so we all met in azua *so we made the 1.5 hour ride down, which is actually pretty chill, the guaguas here are a lot nicer than in barahona *we played 2 truths and a lie *mine were... i've broken my brother's arm 2 times.. i've been to spain 2 times, and i've destroyed 2 cars at the same time *my comps we're... i watch nexflix in the mission.. i drive motorcycles in the mission.. and i've gone swimming in some river or something.. i'll let you guess which was the lie.. (hint: he doesn't know how to swim) *and then we had our district council *and then we ate lunch as a zone *got to see my boy elder lucio, who i haven't seen in ages (he came in with me) and he's my ZL now.. he's super lit.. elder bowden is our other ZL, who was in san cristobal when i was born there, he's super lit... *then we came back and went and had some fire lessons *in one of them, it's this inactive member dude and his non member wife *we showed up, and the wife was in the back doing something, and she said she was cleaning something (i don't know spanish, and my comp didn't hear what she said) *so we're just like "can we help?" and she's like "yah come help" which is usually cap, cuz no one ever lets you help here *but we go back there, and she's cutting and cleaning strange meats (the only things i recognized were vertebrae (of who knows what animal) and chicken feet) *so she's like "i'm gonna finish cleaning this, and then you guys are gonna cook it" and i'm like "haha okkk" thinking she's just gonna have us help make the food *and then my comp smells the bowl of strange meats and he plugs his nose and is like "pLeAsE i wanna leave, it smells so baddd" and it didn't smell gOod, but i didn't really smell that much, but basically he went and sat at the table far away from the food *and then this lady just hands me the bowl of mystery meat and is like "ok, go ahead and cook it" *so i'm just like... "uhhh.. ok.." and then the husband went and bought some oil, and i kinda look at him like whattt am i supposed to do.. and he looks at me with the same look *sooo i just start chopping up garlic and bulion and smashing oregano in one of those cup thingies with the smasher thingy, and i'm literally just in some random kitchen (this is the second time i've been to this house) cooking this random pot of secret flesh for these people (and i told her we weren't gonna eat any of it, cuz we had already eaten (but the real reason was cuz i didn't want ebola) *and then after like 15 min or so of cooking, i was like "okkk, idk how good i made it, but we gotta leave" and they were like "oooo looks good" and then we left.. and they sAid they were gonna come to church this sunday, so hopefully i didn't accidentally poison them or anything *but other than that not too much interesting has happened *church was pretty good *barely anyone came, cuz of christmas.. which is the opposite of how it shOuld be buttt.. it's all good *but anyways merry christmas! love you guys have a great week! luke 2:10-11 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. vroooom vroom.. *there's an amazon store in my area now.. which means i can go in there and order things from amazon, and it will ship to the store.. it costs a little extra and everything, but my shoes are a bit holy.. so i got some new ones.. we'll see when they actually decide to show up *also on monday, i saw on somebody's story from san cristobal, that there had been some kind of huge explosion.. a ton of people hurt.. killed.. it took out 3 buildings completely.. and damaged a ton of other buildings too.. *so that was super random.. i had lived in cambita before, which is technically part of san cristobal.. it's about 20 min away, but i've been to san cristobal many times before, since i lived over there for 6 months *but anyways, one of the other nights, we were teaching this lady, and going over the plan of salvation, or the plan of heavenly father (it's now called) and we asked her why she thinks we are here on the earth.. and she kinda jokingl...

October 2, 2023 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER L

thank goodness to elder helquist here who could confirm that L was the correct number... *welll.. it's been an interesting week for sure *we've stayed at home about half of the days because of sickness *but for the first time in my mission, it's not me who's sick *my comp has some kind of ameba parasite *i won't go into the details of what that actually means (cuz i have no idea) but the symptoms are pretty weird *but we weren't really sure what was going on for a while, and we had to go to the hospital like 3 or 4 times to get all of the tests and everything done for them to be sure *but he's been doing better for the last couple days, and he got a tonnn of medicine *he has two types of pills.. one he has to take every 12 hours for 7 days.. the other he has to take once every day for the next month *and then the last one is a kind of little liquid stuff that he says doesn't really have much flavor, it's just kinda oily *anyways tho, h...

July 15, 2024 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER LXXXXI

weeee had transfers.. said goodbye to canada boy, and i have received a new comp.. we got a call on tuesday before transfers, and pres told me i was gonna be training again.. i thought it would be a gringo, cuz usually there are more gringos that come in at this time of year than latinos.. buttt at these transfers there was only one gringo elder that came in.. sooo i got elder Ibargüen.. he's from panama, so he speaks spanish, and he was studying english before the mission so he knows a little.. annnd he was called to speak haitian creole.. which is a littttle awkward not gonna lie, cuz i definitely don't be speaking such language.. cuzzz i wanted to focus on mastering spanish (which i am still far from).. and the other thing, is that there aren't any haitain speaking wards or even branches in our mission.. annnd because of that, there are no sacrament meetings in haitain.. sooo i haven't put any emphasis in teaching in creole, because they n...
