December 18, 2023 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER LXI
hmmm.. here i am laying on the floor at the biran house just waiting..
*we haven't done so much this week so far
*cuzzz we had monday and tuesday, and then on tuesday in the night i woke up.. feeling.. bad
*so i went to the bathroom
*...now... i don't wanna go into too many details.. but i also kinda do.. sooo.. basically i'm going to.. so starting after the emojis there will be a more or less detailed explanation.. and it will end after the second set of emojis.. so.. for all of you who don't wanna know.. just suffice to say i got food poisoning.. and you can skip to below the second row of emojis.. anywayyys..
🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
ok, so i'm in the bathroom right? and i felt pretty bad.. so i sit down on the toilet.. LiQuiD.. and i'm feeling prettty bad.. so i start to realize i'm gonna need to throw up as well.. and as you may realize, this is a problem, as i am currently sitting on the toilet, which wOuld be the best target for vomit.. so.. i look around.. trash can, nearly full.. sink, nearby but not close enough.. shower... well that's a horrible idea i thought.. buttt didn't matter, cuz the vomit was comin up.. so.. idk if any of you have ever heard of the double headed dragon.. but you have now.. this is actually the second time on my mission that this has happened.. so anyways i spent the rest of the morning in between sitting on the toilet, kneeling in front with my head iN the toilet, or laying on the floor at the base of the toilet waiting for one of the first two.. and then i spent all of that day just dying with chills and body aches, and i was so hungry and thirsty, but if i would even drink one swallow of water i would throw it up.. so i kinda just gave up and waited for a couple hours while everything got worse, but i finally stopped throwing up and using all our toilet paper, and just lay in bed dYing.. mostly just in pain, sometimes it wasn't so bad cuz i took some ibuprofen or tylenol (idk the difference).. but it came to night time and i didn't feel aS nauseous anymore, so i just spent the whole night trying to sleep, but my muscles were too achy to sleep really.. but then.. around 6 am.. thursday december 14.. in vicente noble.. barahona.. the dominican republic.. a pair of garment bottoms were permanently retired.. one of the worst feelings probably ever.. anyways i spent the next 2.5 hours or so on the toilet.. and i was so dehydrated at this point, that i was drinking gatorade on the toilet.. and about 2 min after i would take a drink.. there was yellow liquid in the toilet.. and i wasn't even throwing up anymore.. but ig my body was just doing a deep clean of all the insides.. so anyways that was super fun...
🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
*and in all of this time starting from lunch on tuesday until the morning of thursday, all i've eaten is one mango (that's what got me sick), 2 churros, a very small bag of plantain chips, 2 pieces of bread, and 2 tortillas.. so i'm starvinggg.. but i can't eat.. and at this point i'm supposed to be packing to leave in a couple hours to barahona
*sooo i finally start feeling a little better.. kinda
*i pack
*and then we came to barahona, we had some pizza, and now i think i'm good.. hopefully
*but tomorrow early on we'll be going to the capital to see where i'm going next
*yahhh turns out that didn't happen.. i actually didn't go to the capital
*sooo they told me that night over the phone that i was staying in azua, so i wouldn't need to go all the way to the capital for that
*so, we woke up at like 4, and got ready, i got dropped off in azua
*and then with my new comp i get on a different but to go to padre las casas
*which is like the farthest place away from azua ever, but it's definitely very interesting
*it's just me and my comp in the house, and the house has some weird stuff around in it.. like so many things from past missionaries that i don't even understand.. like for some reason there's a cow skull on the roof thingy outside
*also we get fed here.. meaning we pay a member and she makes us food every day.. she apparently makes a lOt of food tho
*we've only eaten there a couple times so far, but she definitely makes a lot of food.. and it's pretty good
*this place is apparently one of the coldest places in the mission, and in the night it even gets chilly.. i haven't slept here yet, so i'll have to see
*my comp is elder then.. a very short dominican with a very deep voice... and he's my only friend for the next 6 to 12 to 18 weeks.. soooo.. we'll see how this goes
*we live 1.5 to 2 hours away from where we can pull out money in azua, which means also pretty far from our district.. which is just us and 4 hermanas
*soooo just had my first night here, and it was like sleeping in presidents house with AC
*yahhh at first i didn't really believe that it would be that cold
*it's freezing here
*like usually when it's a little less warm you look around and see people shivering and putting on more layers.. here it's aCtually cold, and people are just used to it ig
*i'm sure i'll get used to it pretty fast.. buttt maybe not the shower.. it's sooo cold...
that's basically all tho.. love you guys, have a great week!
doctrine and covenants 20:37
And again, by way of commandment to the church concerning the manner of baptism—All those who humble themselves before God, and desire to be baptized, and come forth with broken hearts and contrite spirits, and witness before the church that they have truly repented of all their sins, and are willing to take upon them the name of Jesus Christ, having a determination to serve him to the end, and truly manifest by their works that they have received of the Spirit of Christ unto the remission of their sins, shall be received by baptism into his church.
