April 22, 2024 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER LXXIX

not sure why i'm always in areas where i get stuck at home doing nothing on the last day before being transfered.. but here we are again.. sooo we spent the last few days (tuesday and wednesday) saying goodbye to people, and last min finding some people.. and then we came to azua early thursday for a zone training.. i had my final sickening guagua ride from padre las casas to azua, and we had a fire zone training thingy.. after that we went and got some final azua pica pollo (just nasty fried chicken).. a classic here paired with some warm coca cola, and went back to the church to eat.. after that we came back to the house of the ZLs and chilled.. we had to go to a baptismal interview around 3:30, so we chilled at the house until then.. and then we hopped on another guagua and showed up for the interview.. annnd as we walked in i saw the hermanas on the phone with someone.. hermana feliz is talking very sternly "dude, we confirmed this yesterday".. hermana kirkham, "and this morning, aNd 30 min ago!!".. 18 year old kid, "but they called me to go to practice, i hAve to gooo".. *more back and forth*.. hermana feliz, "fine, but keep playing with the things of God, and you'll receive your reward! i'm serious muchacho!!"... sooo anyways there wasn't a baptism interveiw.. but it was a fun last random trip to sabana yegua for no reason! annnd now we're just stuck in the house waiting for the ZLs to come save us from our boredom.. we taught some lessons over the phone.. but that's sooo boring.. buttt tomorrow we'll find out who my new comp is, and where i'll be chillin for the next few months.. should be funnnnnn... MANOGUAYABOOOOO!!!! let's goooooooo!! that means i'm in the capital.. i have bravo (the holiest most amazing grocery store known to dominican kind).. we have papa johns in our area.. we have a mall in our area that has krispy kream (idk how that's spelled).. our ward is super cracked.. my comp is elder cranmer (but not like crain) .. (like crayon (but said in the incorrect way that sounds like crān) and then mer (like merman (a male mermaid (but not to be confused with a mail mermaid (which is called a mermail (but never a mermale))))))... cranmer.. he's from canada, so that's cool.. and his hair changes colors in the sun (ig it's a canada power thing).. our chapel isn't a normal church building tho.. apparently it's like an old government building? idk i haven't seen it yet... i'm also back in a house with elder goldfarb, my trainer.. this is his last transfer in the mission so it'll definitely be interesting to watch him die.. annnd he's our district leader, which means i'm finally not district leader anymore.. thank goodness, after 7 straight transfers i was definitely running out of ideas for trainings and stuff... we also have doctor flete in our ward.. sooo that's super nice.. he's the craziest doctor ever, and he takes the missionaries out to eat and stuff all the time.. i've had to go see him when i had the migraine stuff, and a couple times with elder gilbert too, cuz he was always dying.. buttt that's pretty much all from the week.. have a great week, love you guys! jarom 1:6-7 And they were scattered upon much of the face of the land, and the Lamanites also. vroooom vroom.. *there's an amazon store in my area now.. which means i can go in there and order things from amazon, and it will ship to the store.. it costs a little extra and everything, but my shoes are a bit holy.. so i got some new ones.. we'll see when they actually decide to show up *also on monday, i saw on somebody's story from san cristobal, that there had been some kind of huge explosion.. a ton of people hurt.. killed.. it took out 3 buildings completely.. and damaged a ton of other buildings too.. *so that was super random.. i had lived in cambita before, which is technically part of san cristobal.. it's about 20 min away, but i've been to san cristobal many times before, since i lived over there for 6 months *but anyways, one of the other nights, we were teaching this lady, and going over the plan of salvation, or the plan of heavenly father (it's now called) and we asked her why she thinks we are here on the earth.. and she kinda jokingl...

October 2, 2023 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER L

thank goodness to elder helquist here who could confirm that L was the correct number... *welll.. it's been an interesting week for sure *we've stayed at home about half of the days because of sickness *but for the first time in my mission, it's not me who's sick *my comp has some kind of ameba parasite *i won't go into the details of what that actually means (cuz i have no idea) but the symptoms are pretty weird *but we weren't really sure what was going on for a while, and we had to go to the hospital like 3 or 4 times to get all of the tests and everything done for them to be sure *but he's been doing better for the last couple days, and he got a tonnn of medicine *he has two types of pills.. one he has to take every 12 hours for 7 days.. the other he has to take once every day for the next month *and then the last one is a kind of little liquid stuff that he says doesn't really have much flavor, it's just kinda oily *anyways tho, h...

July 15, 2024 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER LXXXXI

weeee had transfers.. said goodbye to canada boy, and i have received a new comp.. we got a call on tuesday before transfers, and pres told me i was gonna be training again.. i thought it would be a gringo, cuz usually there are more gringos that come in at this time of year than latinos.. buttt at these transfers there was only one gringo elder that came in.. sooo i got elder Ibargüen.. he's from panama, so he speaks spanish, and he was studying english before the mission so he knows a little.. annnd he was called to speak haitian creole.. which is a littttle awkward not gonna lie, cuz i definitely don't be speaking such language.. cuzzz i wanted to focus on mastering spanish (which i am still far from).. and the other thing, is that there aren't any haitain speaking wards or even branches in our mission.. annnd because of that, there are no sacrament meetings in haitain.. sooo i haven't put any emphasis in teaching in creole, because they n...
