April 1, 2024 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER LXXVI

hi there.. the other day we went back to that one bee milk guy, and he was harvesting the wax from the honey comb.. so that was pretty cool to watch.. he would melt down the whole comb (after the honey had been slurped out) and then pour it thru this filter that would get all the bees and larva and other stuff off of it, and then what's left is water and wax.. so he takes out the wax and sells it.. and then makes the bee water into a wine.. and then uses all the other stuff as fuel for fire.. sooo ig he used all of it, so that's pretty cool.. he also told us he has 2 degrees in bee keeping, but no one wants to learn from him.. it's a dying job ig, and so is being a bee.. there was this dude.. yah, mans do be peeing while smoking at the same time.. an interesting skill, but ig it's multitasking.. we wented swamming at the hermana church.. we showed up for district council and to do interveiws with president, and we happened upon a chapel covered in water.. this has happened to me so many times now, that it's now become a activity to sweep water.. i aM still a little confused about why this country hasn't invested in more squeegees tho.. and interviews with pres.. those were pretty good, just talked about the branch here, and maybe some leadership changes in the branch presidency.. and then hermana hernandez (pres wife) some crazy lecture about the war chapters in the book of mormon, cuz there are a lot people who don't understand why the war chapters are in there, or don't understand why we have to read that.. i think they're fun to read, but she pointed out a ton of things that there is to learn from the war chapters.. like mormon organized and put only specific parts of allll of the records of the nephites.. he only focused on specific people, and he had a purpose in mind when he added those war chapters.. and we can learn a lot of really cool things if we can study these stories focusing on how we can apply their teachings directly into our own lives.. and the guagua stuff.. we waited for like 2 hours for a guagua, and then it didn't come.. so we just got on a random bus and got as close to our area as we could in that bus, and then at that other stop we were able to catch another bus to get us back.. easter was lit.. jesus sacrificed his life for us.. so that we can repent.. that's all we have to do.. we don't have to be perfect.. we don't have to be sinless.. we just have to do our best.. the best we have.. and he helps us all thru the way.. he doesn't meet us half way.. he doesn't even meet us along the path when we can't go anymore.. he is there the entire time helping.. guiding.. leading us back to our father in heaven... have a great week, love you guys! vroooom vroom.. *there's an amazon store in my area now.. which means i can go in there and order things from amazon, and it will ship to the store.. it costs a little extra and everything, but my shoes are a bit holy.. so i got some new ones.. we'll see when they actually decide to show up *also on monday, i saw on somebody's story from san cristobal, that there had been some kind of huge explosion.. a ton of people hurt.. killed.. it took out 3 buildings completely.. and damaged a ton of other buildings too.. *so that was super random.. i had lived in cambita before, which is technically part of san cristobal.. it's about 20 min away, but i've been to san cristobal many times before, since i lived over there for 6 months *but anyways, one of the other nights, we were teaching this lady, and going over the plan of salvation, or the plan of heavenly father (it's now called) and we asked her why she thinks we are here on the earth.. and she kinda jokingl...

October 2, 2023 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER L

thank goodness to elder helquist here who could confirm that L was the correct number... *welll.. it's been an interesting week for sure *we've stayed at home about half of the days because of sickness *but for the first time in my mission, it's not me who's sick *my comp has some kind of ameba parasite *i won't go into the details of what that actually means (cuz i have no idea) but the symptoms are pretty weird *but we weren't really sure what was going on for a while, and we had to go to the hospital like 3 or 4 times to get all of the tests and everything done for them to be sure *but he's been doing better for the last couple days, and he got a tonnn of medicine *he has two types of pills.. one he has to take every 12 hours for 7 days.. the other he has to take once every day for the next month *and then the last one is a kind of little liquid stuff that he says doesn't really have much flavor, it's just kinda oily *anyways tho, h...

July 15, 2024 THE HOPEFULLY NOT SO BORING ADVENTURES OF ELDER WILLIAMSON CHAPTER LXXXXI

weeee had transfers.. said goodbye to canada boy, and i have received a new comp.. we got a call on tuesday before transfers, and pres told me i was gonna be training again.. i thought it would be a gringo, cuz usually there are more gringos that come in at this time of year than latinos.. buttt at these transfers there was only one gringo elder that came in.. sooo i got elder Ibargüen.. he's from panama, so he speaks spanish, and he was studying english before the mission so he knows a little.. annnd he was called to speak haitian creole.. which is a littttle awkward not gonna lie, cuz i definitely don't be speaking such language.. cuzzz i wanted to focus on mastering spanish (which i am still far from).. and the other thing, is that there aren't any haitain speaking wards or even branches in our mission.. annnd because of that, there are no sacrament meetings in haitain.. sooo i haven't put any emphasis in teaching in creole, because they n...
